Introduce the lesson: With new technological advances, we have access to many different types of information. Instead of re-creating the wheel, it is beneficial to us as Educators to use materials that have already been created. In this lesson, you will learn what is and is not acceptable to use.
Procedure:
Have teachers access the "Copyright and Fair Use in Education" WebQuest.
Teachers will have to download and print the "Copyright and Fair Use Guidelines for Teachers" chart by following a link.
Next, the teachers will have to follow another link to take a quiz.
The quiz will require the teachers to look at their chart in order to answer the questions.
Assessment: The teachers will be assessed based on their quiz results. It will be required that they re-take the quiz until they recieve atleast 85% or higher.
